Interzum adds Forum in Bergmano, Italy

Interzum, known as Koeln Messe’s premier event for suppliers to the furniture industry, is expanding its brand family with a new biennial event. Beyond Cologne, the Interzum brand family will now also convene in Bergamo, at the heart of Italy’s furniture and interior design cluster, alongside existing events in Guangzhou (China) and Bogotá (Colombia).

Bergamo has been chosen for its appeal as a trade fair destination, benefiting from its proximity to Orio al Serio International Airport, connecting it to 137 destinations in 37 foreign countries, and its closeness to Milan.

The new addition, Interzum Forum Italy, will be held biennially in even-numbered years alternating with Interzum Cologne. Organisers have reported nearly full booking of the two halls and aims to host 200 exhibitors from across the globe representing sectors such as function & components, materials and nature, and textiles and machinery.

The event will be condensed into 2 days of business meetings and discussions on the latest industry topics and will address the evolving supply chains in the sector, expanding from traditional furniture production to include the marine contract, caravan and automotive sectors.

It will also spotlight trends, new technical solutions, environmentally friendly materials and processes, and the digitalisation of manufacturing and services, presented by leading international speakers to cater to all participating sectors’ needs.

The comprehensive programme will include a mix of activities and events, featuring talks, the Trend Stage, the Product Stage, matchmaking sessions, and special event areas, drawing from successful formats from Interzum Cologne while introducing new ones.

The greatest strength of Interzum Forum Italy lies in its rich congress programme covering all relevant supply sectors, including materials, components, lighting systems, machinery, and equipment for furniture and upholstery production, as well as upholstery fabrics.

Tailored for various target audiences like companies, operators in the furniture and interior design industries, manufacturers of furniture materials and machinery, general contractors, design studios, planners, and interior designers.

Exhibiting companies will have the opportunity to submit their products and services for the Interzum Forum Italy Award. A distinguished jury comprising international

experts in environmental issues, technological innovation, and trendsetting will select the best entries.

The award aims to recognize pioneering ideas that drive innovation within the represented supply chains at the fair. Awards will be presented in six categories: Innovation and ESG & Sustainability, each subdivided into Function & Components, Materials & Nature, and Textile & Machinery segments.
