The 7th edition of DelhiWood, India’s premier trade fair for the woodworking and furniture manufacturing industry, concluded successfully on 5th March, 2023, at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.
The 4-day event was a huge success, attracting more than 27,000 visitors and 450-odd exhibitors from around the world.
DelhiWood 2023 showcased the latest advancements and innovations in woodworking machinery, tools, materials and accessories, as well as furniture production, fittings and hardware.
The event provided the perfect platform for furniture manufacturers, carpenters, architects, interior designers and other industry professionals to explore new products, technologies, and techniques that can enhance their productivity and profitability.
The event saw participation from countries including Canada, France, Germany, Gabon, New Zealand, Poland, Taiwan, Turkey and the US.

Architecture conference
The 2nd edition of Wood+ in Architecture & Design which took place on March 3, explored the versatility and durability of wood in the construction industry. It hosted leading architects and domain experts, who addressed various facets and nuances of wood in the construction and design industry.
Supported by Canadian Wood, sessions at the event covered specific design and construction topics related to wood, including mass-timber products, design aspects, as also sustainability.
Leading architects and designers – among them Surya Kakani (Kakani Associates), Ruchir Panwar (E3+A Designs), Sheetal Rakheja (Aeon Design & Development), Puneet Khanna (Habitat Tectonics Architecture & Urbanism), Amit Gupta and Britta Knobel (Studio Symbiosis) and Vivek Abhilash Sharma (Artius) contributed via case studies and panel discussions.
The furniture manufacturing and woodworking industry in India has experienced considerable expansion due to rising demand for high-quality furniture in both domestic and international markets.
The industry has also made notable strides towards embracing sustainable practices, including the use of eco-friendly materials and the adoption of energy-efficient manufacturing processes.
Exhibitor feedback
“We have been participating in DelhiWood since its inception in 2013. With every exhibition, we have grown alongside it. The event continues to set higher standards for itself, and this year’s exhibition has outperformed all previous editions,” said Gopi T., Managing Director of Woodtech Consultants.
The sentiment was also echoed by Suresh Balakrishnan, Managing Director of Leitz Tooling Systems India. “I must say that every edition of DelhiWood has shown progressive improvement, and the current event has surpassed all previous ones,” he said.

The 7th edition of India Mattresstech+ Upholstery Supplies Expo (IME), the premier event for the mattress manufacturing industry in India, also took place at the same time. The exhibition witnessed an impressive turnout of more than 6,000 visitors from India and abroad.
