Unilin, Surteco tie up for tech transfer

Unilin Technologies, a know-how provider in the flooring, furniture and construction industry, has entered into a license agreement with Surteco, a leading full-service provider of decorative surfaces, to use roll-to-roll digital printing technologies from the large patent portfolio.

The agreement gives Surteco access to Unilin’s expertise on digital printing that they have been researching and developing for more than 15 years by testing different inkjet technologies and chemistries around the world.

Roll-to-roll digital printing enhances the design freedom and personalisation of the products, which enables make-to-order production and reduces inventory and waste. With the large colour gamut and increased sharpness, Surteco takes the next step to improve its efficiency, product quality and design opportunities.
