The China International Furniture Fair (CIFF), held annually at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai Hongqiao, concluded its 54th edition recently. This year’s theme was ‘Design Empowerment: Dual Internal-External Drive’.
Bringing the entire furniture supply chain together under one roof, the fair was divided into a variety of themed areas: Design Eden, sofa pavillon, smart sleep pavillon, and living and dining rooms furniture.
The event co-hosted five distinct fairs: the Woodworking machinery Fair, Upholstery Tech, Offices and Public Spaces Exhibition, Urban Outdoor Furniture Exhibition, and Home Textiles and Accessories Lifestyle Exhibition.
The event brought together more than 1,300 brands in an exhibition area of 3,00,000 square metres. Of the total 89,433 trade visitors, 10,486 came from all over the world, marking an increase of 18.31% in international attendance and demonstrating Chinese companies’ successful transition away from product export and towards brand export.
The balance of this edition was an obvious strong point, not only in terms of the number of attendees and the phenomenal scale achieved but with regard to original product design, the quality of the stands, and the proven ability of the participating companies to offer innovative solutions for good living at home as well as in the office, in public spaces as well as outdoors.
CIFF Shanghai is more than just business: it is a nexus of trends, lifestyle and design culture. This year, this place of meeting and exchange gave rise to 15 exhibitions spanning a wide range of fields, including design, tea culture, pop culture, materials, artificial intelligence, lifestyle, sleep, and much more.
