Italy’s SCM is set to showcase its woodworking technologies and services at IndiaWood 2025, reaffirming its strong commitment to the Indian market with focus on manufacturers across various sectors, from bespoke joinery to large-scale furniture production and wooden door manufacturing.

The high-performance drilling heads with RO.AX (roto-axial spindle technology) spindles offer speeds up to 8,000 rpm, making it an ideal solution for demanding applications.

SCM will also present the Stefani KD edge bander, a high-speed solution tailored for processing various panel types, including those with delicate surfaces. It features an upper belt presser for smooth and consistent feeding, while the SGP glue pot with an anti-adherent plasma treatment allows for the use of both EVA and PUR adhesives, ensuring superior bonding quality.

The automatic setup of working units, controlled via NC axes, enables seamless transitions between different processing requirements, including machining of two radii and 12 mm solid wood lipping for panels up to 60 mm thick. With a working speed of up to 20 m/min, Stefani KD is ideal for manufacturers needing high productivity and precision in large-scale panel processing.

For sanding applications, SCM will display the DMC sd60, a compact wide belt sander designed for small and medium-sized manufacturers looking for efficiency and high-quality finishing. The RCS (roller unit, roller/pad combined unit) configuration makes it versatile for different sanding tasks, from solid wood thickening to veneered panel finishing.

The machine is equipped with a LED indicator for panel introduction, helping operators position workpieces accurately for even wear of the sanding belt and a consistent surface finish.

Visitors can also explore SCM’s latest advancements in digital services with a dedicated Digital Control Room, showcasing the capabilities of Maestro Connect, the company’s IoT platform.
