Altendorf displaying digital readiness, precision

The F35 panel saw (L) combines stable construction, precise cutting accuracy, intuitive controls, and ergonomic operation. Altendorf’s F and K series edge banding machines (R) are designed for craft workshops and industrial environments.

Altendorf is showcasing a comprehensive portfolio of precision woodworking solutions developed for reliability, safety, and everyday workshop efficiency at IndiaWood 2026.

The focus this year is on format panel saws, advanced edgebanding systems, AI-supported safety technology, and IIOT-enabled digital tools designed to simplify operations while improving accuracy and productivity.

A key highlight is the new Altendorf F 30 format panel saw, introduced in India for the first time. Developed as the next evolution of the proven WA 8, the F 30 retains the core strengths that Indian workshops rely on while adding enhanced functionality, improved ergonomics, and greater operating convenience. The machine is engineered to deliver consistent precision, smooth cutting performance, and higher efficiency across daily cutting applications.

Alongside the F 30, Altendorf presents the F 35 format panel saw, a versatile solution designed for workshops with varied production needs. The F 35 combines stable construction, precise cutting accuracy, intuitive controls, and ergonomic operation.

It will be displayed in multiple configurations, ranging from flexible all-round machines for routine tasks to heavy-duty variants built for continuous, high-demand production. All configurations are IIOT-ready and prepared for integration with the Altendorf Nexus platform.

Altendorf’s F- and K-Series edgebanding machines form another major attraction at the booth. Designed for both craft workshops and industrial environments, these machines deliver clean, reproducible edge quality with high process reliability.

The latest models emphasize ease of use, featuring faster heat-up times, intuitive touchscreen operation, modular cassette systems for quick material changes, and tool-free motor replacement for the corner rounding unit. A sensor-controlled double trimming system ensures consistent precision, while RGB and LED status indicators improve machine visibility.

The 15-inch touchscreen with 3D visualizations allows simple navigation and clear process control. Live demonstrations will present all core edgebanding steps in real time.

Safety and digitalization play a central role through Hand Guard, Altendorf’s AI-supported safety assistance system for panel saws. With enhanced intuitive handling, the system detects potential hazards in real time and helps prevent accidents without interrupting workflow. The solution complies with strict European safety standards and has been extensively tested by accredited institutions.

Complementing the machinery is the Nexus IIOT platform, offering real-time machine transparency, simplified maintenance, remote support, and structured digital workflows for modern workshops.
