CIFF poised to steer China growth story

The 41st edition of the China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) will be held in Guangzhou in two phases, according to product sector: the first from 18 to 21 March and the second from 28 to 31 March, 2018.

Understanding the market in order to de-codify trends, providing solutions that are perfect in terms of style, quality and price: this approach has allowed CIFF to become an international reference point in the furniture sector.

There is already great anticipation for this spring edition of CIFF, which will provide the opportunity to visit 4,000 exhibitors. Spread out over 7,50,000 square metres of exhibition space, it will give an integrated account of ‘Whole Home Décor’.

The first phase (18-21 March) introduces a full range of solutions, both classic and modern in style; a vast selection of products of different styles and typologies: home furniture, home decor and home textiles, outdoor and leisure furniture.

Customisation, interactivity and design go into creation of new products to provide what the client is looking for. Also featured will be products that can put themselves at the service of the user by exploiting the high-level Internet of Things (IoT) technology, cloud computing and smart chips.

Chinese exports

According to the latest figures published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, the value of furniture manufacturing exports from January to August 2017 amounted to 12.64 billion RMB, recording an increase of 6.2% over the previous year.

The second phase of CIFF (28-31 March), with office furniture, commercial furniture, hotel furniture and furniture machinery and raw materials for the furniture industry, will see the implementation of the Medical-Health furniture hall sector, and will tackle the Smart Office theme in greater depth.

Guangzhou (formerly Canton) is the largest coastal city in South China, and the third largest city in the country, after Beijing and Shanghai.
