Design meets digital, on the way to the smart

Homag is thrilled to offer the woodworking industry some very special insights this year. Since the end of March, it has adopted a completely new image – with a new logo, a new look, and modern machine design.

Under the banner of ‘Design meets digital’, Homag has made all of its machines to be more intuitive, modern and unique for users. Operating the new generation of machines will be a unique experience, thanks to the forward-thinking, function-oriented design and the innovative power of the machine’s operating system.

It is now faster and easier to network your machines to the Tapio ecosystem, if and when desired. If and when you want to use this function is up to you. The progressive new function-oriented design transforms the machine operation experience, making it feel special while highlighting your innovative credentials.

Simple, meaningful

Homag has also made product names a clearer structure. From now on, the name of each machine clearly states its function. For example, Homag edge banding machines under the name EdgeTeq and machines from the saw technology range now all carry the name SawTeq.

Homag keeps a step ahead of the market so that it can better assist the industry on its journey to the digital future. Not only does it offer the perfect high-tech machines, but also integrated solutions tailored precisely to its customer’s needs.

For instance with Tapio-ready machines, customised software or services from Homag’s global service network, it can shape tomorrow’s trends and discover the exact solutions to meet any and every challenge.

Tapio partners (including Homag, Venjakob, Rehau and Henkel) work jointly with the Tapio team on new functions and apps. Machine operators on all machine displays offer them real-time information in their smart phones. It also saves all important machine data in a secured area so it can be accessed immediately when needed.
