SCM Group clocks € 650 million in revenue

For the Rimini-based colossus, SCM Group, the year 2017 closed with a positive balance sheet, with a double-digit growth rate in annual revenues and major investments in territories where it has been operating.

The Group’s 2017 revenues are estimated at 650 million Euros, with an ever-growing orders portfolio. The Italian group was established in 1952, invented the first SCM woodworking machine, and later diversified its operations into the processing of composites and plastics to metal, aluminium, glass and stone.

At Ligna 2017 in Hannover (Germany), SCM displayed more than 60 machines. Some of these machines have helped SCM customers deliver such great projects as the interior wall cladding in the new Hamburg Philharmonic Concert Hall (see photo), using the so-called “white skin”, with its superior acoustic characteristics that ensure evenly-distributed and brilliant sound in every corner of the hall. Two years of work, 10,000 panels of varying design and a final outcome of exceptional sound quality!
