Membership to IWMMTA open

The Indian Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers’ and Traders’ Association (IWMMTA), which was launched as a not-for-profit organisation during IndiaWood 2020, has opened its membership drive from among manufacturers and traders of machines for woodworking across India.

The association is a forum for members to voice their capabilities and needs and benefit from a common platform. Its mission is to represent the membership at national and international levels, promoting and safeguarding the interests of members and the woodworking machinery industry in India.

In addition, the IWMMTA will assist in:

•        Promoting members in potential new markets, both in India and abroad;

•        Disseminating information and participating in events of interest to members;

•        Creating a directory and projecting profiles of members to government departments, financial institutions and other interested organisations for the growth of business;

•        Administering a website and social media presence to connect members with potential business prospects;

•        Increasing awareness and knowledge through workshops on industry and design;

•        Facilitating dialogue between international companies and IWMMTA members;

•        Undertaking skill development to overcome shortage of skilled manpower.

Eligibility & Benefits

Manufacturers, traders and importers of machines and tools for woodworking, registered as companies in India, are eligible to be full members. Iinstitutions, consultants and representatives of foreign companies not registered in India but connected to the woodworking industry are eligible as associate members.

The IWMMTA would collectively voice concerns of the industry and members to the various government entities; organise educational trade trips and seminars to different parts of India and abroad; disseminate information on new technologies; and facilitate transfer through joint ventures or collaborations.
